Man Set Fire To The Private Part Of His 10-Year-Old Daughter For Stealing N3,000 In Ibadan

The National Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Oyo Command have arrested a couple who allegedly tied their daughter, Abibat, to the ceiling, and setting fire to her private part for stealing N3,000
Taofeek Olawale, father of the girl, 41, from Ede said he was only trying to scare her daughter with fire to prevent her from doing it again.
Parading the couple on Monday in Ibadan, the NSCDC Commandant, Isikilu Akinsanya informed journalists that the arrest was part of the duties of the NSCDC’s Anti-human Trafficking and Child Protection Unit to protect and save the lives and property of Nigerians according to the 2003 Act.
The command’s PRO, Oluwole Olusegun, who represented the Commandant said that the father, a carpenter residing in Ibadan with the collaboration of his wife tortured Abibat by tying her hand to the ceiling and putting fire under her private part until she confessed to stealing N3,000 belonging to a neighbor.
He disclosed that N600 was discovered in Abibat’s bag and the remaining N2,400 was found from where it was hidden in the house. The NSCDC PRO said Abibat was still recuperating in the hospital from the damage she suffered from the fire.

Man Jumps Into Lagoon From Third Mainland Bridge Lagos

February 16, 2020A man, 22, jumped into the lagoon from the third mainland bridge yesterday. The man identified as Daibo Toju Davies resides at 17, Sosanya street, Gbagada.
A report said that he had engaged the services of an Uber taxi from a hospital before the occurrence. He allegedly stopped the Uber on the bridge pretending to be having a running stomach before plunging into the lagoon.
Lagos State Emergency Management Agency public affairs officer, Nosa Okunbor said they are making efforts to rescue the man.
He said;
“He should be in his mid-twenties. He ordered a car-hailing service from Gbagada to the Island. He deceived the UBER driver that he had a running stomach after which he jumped into the lagoon.
“As I speak with you, the marine unit of the Lagos central zone has been searching for the victim since 11:30 am, but we have not found the body.”
Two luggage with his personal effects and affidavit were discovered on him.

Policemen Arrest Colleagues For Obtaining Bribe In Lagos (VIDEO)

February 7, 2020A video has surfaced online showing some policemen arrested by their colleagues for obtaining bribe.
Also, the officers are attached to the Nigeria Police Special Squad ‘Operation Puff Adder’. So, they stormed the spot in patrol their patrol van and arrested the officers collecting bribe at the Ijesha area of Lagos State.
