Stop Calling Us NEPA, It Shows You Don’t Want Electricity – Sunday Oduntan (VIDEO)

The spokesperson of the Distribution Company of Nigeria, Sunday Oduntan has enjoined Nigerian to desist from calling them NEPA.

Oduntan who was on TVC’s ‘Your View’ refute claims of a 78% increase in electricity tariff as he said the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) is the body in charge of regulating the power sector in Nigeria.

Also, he disclosed that over 95% of what is consumed in Nigeria’s Power sector is not produced in the country which is the need for the proposed hike in the electricity tariff. He said that if the exchange rate is okay and stable and there is a reduction in the importation of electricity, the tariff will be reduced

He asked Nigerians to stop calling them NEPA because it shows they don’t want change or have not noticed any change, and does not want electricity.
