Shukurat Olufowobi, 30-year-old housewife has been arrested for beating her stepson, Kazeem Olufowobi to death.
She was, however, arrested at her house in the Oshodi Oke area of Ogijo. This was after members of the public told the police of the development. It was gathered that the stepson was hit with an object which led to a head injury that led to his death.
The police also accused Mr. Olufowobi. The police accused Olufowobi of taking the boy’s corpse to Ajah for secret burial

Oyeyemi, Ogun State police spokesperson, confirmed the incident and said;
“Information further showed that the woman and her husband took the corpse of the boy to Ajah in a bid to quickly bury him
“The Divisional Police Officer, Ogijo division chief superintendent of police, Suleman Baba Muhammed quickly went with his detectives to the scene. The police met the couple who had started packing in a bid to run away from the area.
“The nurse who gave first aid treatment had informed a couple of her findings. Shukurat had pleaded with the nurse to lie about the cause of death. The woman refused because it is against the rules of her profession.
“Ayuba Olufowobi and Shukurat Olufowobi are being interrogated at the Ogijo divisional headquarters. They are helping the police in their investigation.”
Therefore, Kenneth Ebrimson, Ogun State police commissioner ordered that suspect be at the homicide section
