Police Arrest Suspects Extorting Motorists With POS Machines

The officials of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), of the Lagos State Police Command, have arrested seven suspects who they claimed have been involved in extorting motorists with Point of Sale (POS) machines.

The suspects who claimed to be on contract with Ikotun-Igando Local Council Development Area in Alimosho Local Government were exposed when one of their victims who was forced to drive to their hiding place was extorted with N41,000 for reportedly not speeding on the Expressway.

This incident happened on Thursday 23rd, January but the vehicle was later released on Friday, 24thJanuary.

However, the suspects were identified as Akinseye Alex (48), Mukaila Atanda (48), Rasak Eko (50) Adedire Olaniyi (40), Chibuzor Eze (26), Aro Dotun (46) and Taiwo Falodun (48).

So, when the RRS officials discovered the hideouts of the suspects, two commercial vehicles and 15 cars were recovered.
