The operatives of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, Nassarawa Command have arrested a suspected fake medical doctor in Nassarawa State.
The suspect
simply identified as Mudassir Mohammed Idris has reportedly been doing this for
the past 2-years but ran out of lucks when Hauwa, a 3-year-old girl died in his
facility after a blood transfusion.
The NSCDC
commandant in Nassarawa State, Mahmud Gidado Fari, while speaking to newsmen
said the suspect was arrested following a complaint by the late girl’s father.
“We
have arrested a fake medical doctor. We are charging him to court for culpable
homicide because he illegally administered blood on an innocent girl of three
years old which resulted in her sudden death.”
The suspect,
Mudassir asked for forgiveness as he has successfully handled other cases
before Hauwa’s case. He admitted that he was a student of the College of Health
Technology, Gboko, Benue.
The
investigation also revealed that he operates an unregistered drug shop and has
been in the trade for over 2-years without a license.
