Nigerians React As Bishop Oyedepo Dismisses His Church Senior Officials For Fraud

Nigerians have reacted to reports of Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of the Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel, dismissing senior church ministers for looting the church’s treasury.

Though the number of officials dismissed was not disclosed, however, Oyedepo disclosed that one of the officials refused to confess until the last minute.

He said;

“We had no
choice but to dismiss them. You can imagine top church officials engaging in
doubling figures and other dubious practices. After we dismissed them, we
discovered more fraud.

“Those who
should discover the fraud were the ones involved in it. One of them refused to
confess until the last minute. Can you imagine accountants perpetrating fraud
in the house of God?

“Don’t employ
them, don’t sympathize. Whoever sympathizes with the wicked is wicked himself.
Don’t sympathize with any perpetrator of fraud; otherwise, you are a partaker
of the evil act.”

Several Nigerians have reacted by lashing out at Bishop Oyedepo for not seeing the act in a vision before it was uncovered and also for not showing them mercy 70×7 times just like the bible said.
