Nigeria Custom Arrests Driver With $8M Cash At Lagos Airport (PHOTO)

Officials of the Nigerian Custom Service at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport have apprehended a driver in the services of the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company, NAHCO after $8,065,615 was discovered inside a vehicle he was driving.

Therefore, Mr. Hameed Ali, Nigeria Custom Controller General, while speaking to journalists today said the cash was intercepted while it was about to be put into an aircraft from the car. Details of aircraft and the driver were not provided

So, he disclosed that the money was wrapped in a large brown envelope with the names of the alleged owners. He said investigations could be carried out to get the identity of the owners of the money

“From the day we seized this money, no bank has come to claim ownership. But our investigation will reveal the mystery behind the owners,” Alli narrated
