Members Of The Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) Arrested For Selling Biafra Newspaper In Aba

Four suspected members of IPOB have been arrested by the Nigerian Soldiers for selling the banned Biafran newspaper in Aba.

Deputy Director, Public Relations of 82 Division of the Nigerian Army, Col Aliyu Yusuf, said the four newspaper vendors were arrested by the troops of Sector 2 in Abia. The names of the vendors are Innocent Mike, Sunday Elom, Martins Ogwuchukwu, and Chineme Obiechifula.

The men were arrested under the Nigerian Army “Exercise Atilogwu Udo 1” which is ongoing Cross River and in the South Eastern States.

Yusuf did not disclose the name of the newspaper, but he said the suspects have been handed over to the appropriate authorities for further actions. Col Aliyu said so far, the military exercise has arrested 86 high profile criminals since it began operation on 1st November.
