Lasser Fever Kills 26-Year-Old In Ogun State

Lasser fever has reportedly killed a 26-year-old woman, Titilayo Akinsola on Saturday 25^th January at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Idi-Aba Community, Abeokuta.

Segun Orisajo, FMC spokesperson confirmed the death and informed newsmen that several tests showed the deceased had lasser fever. The spokesperson said that they did everything possible to save her life.

He further said;

"She
(the victim) was rushed to the hospital four days ago and a series of tests
confirmed that she had Lassa fever. Our medical team did everything possible to
save her life but unfortunately, she died."

Orisajo said that they are working with the government to contain the spread of the lasser fever. The commissioner of health in Ogun State has also confirmed the incident
