Gunmen Kill 400-Level Kogi State University Student During An Examination

The police in Kogi State has confirmed the death of one Joseph Apeh by unidentified gunmen at the Kogi State University, Ayingba.

So, the police identified the deceased as a 400-level student of English Education and a suspected cultist.

The police public relations officer of the Kogi State police command, DSP William Aya claimed that the deceased was involved in a bloody clash that took place within the University last month.

DSP William Aya stated that one Onuche Jibrin of the security department at the Kogi State University complained to the police station that a 400-level student of English Education Department, Apeh Joseph has been shot dead by two unidentified gunmen on a motorbike right inside the institution.

He said the victim was confirmed dead by medical doctors at the Kogi State University Teaching Hospital.

The report also confirmed that the remains of the deceased have deposited at the teaching hospital morgue for possible autopsy.
