Former AGF, Adoke Pleaded To Be Remanded In Kuje Prison And Not The EFCC Custody

The former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke has pleaded with the court to remand him in Kuje prison and not the custody of the EFCC.

Adoke was arraigned on a new count charges bordering on money laundering one Aliyu Abubakar accused of lodging equivalent of 300m into his account in September 2013 violating the Money Laundering Act.

Bala Sanga, the prosecuting counsel countered the plea as he requested the court to remand the defendant in EFCC custody pending the meeting of the bail application.

Ozekhome also begged the court to make his client’s bail liberal and affordable emphasizing that Adoke came to court from the Federal Medical Centre, Jabi, Abuja
