Anthony Joshua Giving Deadline To Agree To Fight Kubrat Pulev Or Lose His IBF Belt

Anthony Joshua, the British Nigerian boxer has been given until the end of January by the International Boxing Federation (IBF) to agree to fight Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev.

Recall that Anthony Joshua had just recently reclaimed his titles in his rematch against Andy Ruiz Jnr. In Saudi Arabia last December.

An IBF spokesperson told Sky Sport in a statement that “I have just been told that Anthony Joshua and Pulev camps have until January 31st to negotiate”

If he fails
to agree on conditions for a fight he could lose the belt

Anthony Joshua will also have to fight Oleksandr Usyk, the mandatory challenger to his WBO belt before 4th June.  If he fails to agree to fight the former cruiserweight king before then, he will be forced to lose his belt.
