Wizkid Becomes First Nigerian Artiste To Get A NAACP Image Award Nomination

Ayodeji Balogun also known as Wizkid has become the first Nigerian artiste to be nominated for an NAACP award.

The National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People (NAACP) image award is an award to honour outstanding performances in television, film, music, literature and “Brown Skin Girl” which features Beyonce, Saint John, Wizkid, and Blue Ivy, off Beyonce’s “The Gift” has received a nomination for the “Outstanding duo, Group or Collaboration” at the 2020 edition

However, he was nominated alongside music giants like Drake, Alicia Keys, Chris Brown, J. Cole, and Miguel. If he wins, Wizkid would be the first Nigerian to win the award
