Family and friends are still mourning the death of a 30-year old California man who was murdered at his reception hours after he was joined to his wife.
The report
revealed that two uninvited brothers attended the reception of the newlywed
over the weekend and beat the groom to death with baseball bats.
Joe Melgoza,
the groom, 30, suffered from blunt-force trauma to the head after he was
attacked and beaten in Chino, California around 2:20 am last Sunday. He was
quickly taken to the Chino Valley Medical, where he was confirmed dead.
The police
authorities have identified the alleged killers as brothers Josue Daniel
Castaneda, 19 and 28-year old Rony Aristides Castaneda Ramirez.
It was revealed
by the Chino Police Department that the brothers did not know Melgoza, but
lived in the same vicinity with the bride family in the 13200 blocks of 17th
Street where the reception was held and showed up uninvited.
The wedding crashers have engaged in fighting with some guests and were asked to leave, which they did, but returned a while later armed with baseball bats, according to Andy Velasquez, Melgoza’s brother.
Velasquez,
while speaking to NBC in Los Angeles said that his brother tried to confront the
cowards who pulled and killed him.
"My brother is a good man and does not deserve to die like that, he was a solid man, Velasquez narrated while being comforted by his surviving sister and brothers.
The groom is
survived by his newly wedded wife, Esther Bustamante Melgoza, and an 11-year
old daughter.
