Sad! A Police Inspector Murdered His Colleague, Shot Superintendent Before Turning The Gun On Himself

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command earlier today witnessed a tragic incident. It happened when a police Inspector attached to the Dutse Alhaji Division opened fire on another colleague, killing him instantly.

The Police Inspector also opened fire on another Deputy Superintendent of police inflicting gunshot wounds on him before turning the gun on himself leading to his death.

The spokesperson of the FCT police, Maryam Yusuf, said an investigation is ongoing’

“The FCT
police command regrettably condemns the unfortunate incident that happened
today at about 4:30 pm at the Dutse Alhaji Division leading to the murder of a
police corporal by an Inspector of police.

Preliminary
investigation shows that the deceased Inspector fired gunshot at the corporal
that led to his death and inflicting injuries on the Deputy Superintendent
before committing suicide.

The commissioner of police has ordered a discreet investigation into the unfortunate incident and also instructed that measures should be put in place to forestall a reoccurrence of such. 
He urged residents to be calm while reiterating the command's commitment to providing adequate security during Christmas/New year celebration
