Nigeria Has Been Listed For Possible War Crimes By The International Criminal Court (ICC)

The office of the ICC has listed Nigeria and other 11 countries currently under the probe for alleged war and human rights crimes.

So, the probe was made public in ICC end of the year report on preliminary examination activities.

Nigeria is listed alongside Colombia, Venezuela, Palestine, Iraq/UK, Ukraine, Republic of Philippines, Guinea, and Bangladesh/Myanmar for possible war crimes.

So, Nigeria occupies phase three of the investigation stages, dealing with admissibility (last stage before the conclusion of investigation)

Several crimes allegedly committed in Nigeria since 2010 is investigated as disclosed in the report dated 5th December 2019

However, the International tribunal and the intergovernmental organization which sits in the Hague, Netherlands.

The body has disclosed that Boko Haram might have to answer for attacks against civilians, abductions, among others.
