Toni-Ann Singh, the 23-year old Miss Jamaica has been crowned Miss World 2019.
So, Singh defeated 113 other contestants to win the highly coveted crown which took place in London today 14 December 2019.
The beauty queen who is also a student at Florida State University where she is studying Women’s Studies and Psychology was crowned by Vanessa Ponce, Miss World 2018 from Mexico.
However, during the competition, Tonia, the Miss Jamaica spoke with confidence when asked why she should win the competition.
“I represent something special, a generation of women that are pushing forward to change the world. I wouldn’t say I’m different from other women on this stage but I will say that my passion for women and pouring into them and making sure that they have the same opportunities that I’ve had is something that sets me apart,” Tonia said
