Man Apprehended In Katsina For Chaining And Torturing His Wives

A man identified as Samaila has been apprehended by the police in Katsina for chaining his wives, Hadiza Musa and Fatima Salisu and subjecting them to inhumane treatment. This happened in their home in Yannadabaiyye village under Rimi LGA in Katsina, for over 10 months

The police reported that Samaila’s actions were revealed when one of his mothers-in-law came visiting and not meeting with her daughter requested to take a sewing machine she bought for her daughter who was not using it. Samaila’s refusal led to an altercation which led to fighting. Hadiza’s mother reported the case to the police. The police came and arrested Samaila and in the process found Hadiza and Fatima in chains.

Fatima disclosed upon interrogation that she has been in chains for about 10 months while Hadiza joined her two weeks ago and was in chains too. She further disclosed that Samaila used electric wires to beat them, shave their pubic hair, cut their nails, and used it for concoction and gave them to drink. He usually has sex with them in the presence of the other wife.

They further said that they have no idea of what their husband does for a living as he always returned with bails of N500 notes

Police spokesperson in Katsina, Gambo Isah, confirmed Samaila’s arrest and the matter is currently being investigated.
