First Coronavirus Death Recorded Outside China

The Philippines have recorded the first Coronavirus death outside China. It happened today 2nd Sunday, February.

The deceased, a 44-year-old Chinese man who resides in Wuhan. The health ministry in the Philippines said the Chinese man had developed severe pneumonia and was admitted at a government hospital in Manila since 25th January.

Also the deceased is said to be the companion of another 38-year-old Chinese woman from Wuhan, the first person to test the deadly Coronavirus

The World Health Organization representative to the Philippines, Rabindra Abeyasinghe, while speaking to newsmen said;

“This is the first reported death outside China

“However, we need to take into mind that this is not a locally acquired case. This patient came from the epicenter of this outbreak.” 

China has disclosed that the death toll from the outbreak of the Coronavirus has reached 304 as of Saturday and has recorded over 14,000 Coronavirus cases
