Coronavirus Cure In Sight As Australian Scientists Recreates Virus

Australian scientists have said that they have succeeded in recreating the deadly virus. This notice increases the hope of having a permanent cure to Coronavirus that has currently claimed 132 lives. This will quicken the creation of the vaccine necessary to counter the virus. 

The Deputy Director of the Doherty Institute, Mike Catton said that the sample which has grown from a victim will be shared with the laboratories and World Health Organization all over the world.

He spoke further;

“We’ve planned for an incident like this for many, many
years and that’s really why we were able to get an answer so quickly. This
is a step; it’s a piece of the puzzle that we have contributed."

The recent outbreak has seen about 132 people killed in China and infected about 6,000 after the virus broke out in Wuhan in late 2019. However, no death has been recorded outside China, there are about 47 confirmed cases in other countries.

The Chinese scientists have said that the virus can be transmitted during its incubation period, The World Health Organization said they are unclear if the virus is contagious before the onset of the symptoms. According to WHO, the incubation period can be between 2-10days
