Chinenye Oluoma, Catholic Priest, Replies MFM G.O After He Said Christmas Is “Unbiblical”

A Catholic priest, Fada Chinenye Oluoma, has replied to the General Overseer of the Mountain Of Fire And Miracle Ministries, Olukoya after the latter said Christmas is unbiblical

Olukoya said the MFM does not take part in the Christmas celebration because there is no book in the bible where the word “Christmas” or that Jesus was born on 25th December exist.

He said 25th December was originally set aside by the ancient Romans for the celebration of Mars, worship of the Sun. General Overseer said the birth of Christ was integrated into the same date to popularize the Mars festival and then named it Christmas.

Fada Oluoma while responding to Olukoya explained why Christians all over the world celebrate the birth of Jesus on the 25th December.

Chinenye Oluoma explained that there are other celebrations such as cross-over vigils, mother’s Day and so on that Christians observe but are not in the bible. He emphasized the scripture is not against the celebration.

The catholic priest said Easter as a term is not written in the bible but we celebrate it because it is an event and a mystery captured in the bible. Same with Christmas. It is not the calendar date or the term we celebrate but the event and the mystery.

He further reiterated that there are several Christians do that are not in the bible and God is not angry. Such practices as birthday parties, cross-over vigils, and wedding anniversaries are also not in the bible.
