Breaking: Senator Longjan Dies in Turkey

Senator Ignatius Longjan, the Senator representing Plateau South at the National Assembly is dead. It was reported that Senator Longjan, 75, died at a Turkish hospital where he had gone for undisclosed treatment.

Until his death, Senator Longjan was a member of the ruling All Progressive Congress, Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Culture and Tourism, and the vice Chairman on Foreign affairs.

Senator Longjan was also a former deputy governor of Plateau State.
