Armed Militia Beheads Two Farmers In Taraba State

Two farmers have been beheaded over the weekend by suspected armed militia at a farm in Dapye Village under the Wukari Local Government Area, Taraba.

The armed militia, suspected to be Tiv Militias came in from Benue State before killing the farmers who were working on their farm.

Mr. Abigrace Daniel, the Chairman of Wukari Local Government, who confirmed the tragic incident, said the area had been experiencing peace before this killing

The murdered farmers have been identified as Timothy Awe and Simon Bala. The Chairman said the incident is a signal that all was not well in the area.

DSP David Misal, police spokesperson in Taraba also confirmed the killing by the militia but said no arrest has been made.
