Due to the rapid spread of the deadly Coronavirus, British Airways have put on hold all flights to and from mainland China.

The
airline, whose daily routes are between Shanghai and Beijing from Heathrow, made
known its decision to put on hold all the flights with immediate effect following
the warnings of the Foreign Office against ‘all but essential travel’ to the
country due to the outbreak of the virus.
In a statement on 29th January, British Airways says;
‘We have suspended all flights to and from mainland China with immediate effect following advice from the Foreign Office against all but essential travel.
‘We
apologize to customers for the inconvenience, but the safety of our customers
and crew is always our priority. ‘Customers due to travel to or from China in
the coming days can find more information on ba.com.’
This notice came up after British nationals who were stranded in the epicenter
were advised to get in touch with the embassy in Beijing by 11 am if they
desired to come home along with officials claiming an airlift from Wuhan which was
scheduled for Thursday.
