2 Men In Military Camouflage Arrested For Hijacking Petrol Tanker In Lagos

Two members of a robbery syndicate which allegedly hijacked a truck conveying 40,000 litres of PMS have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command.
However, the 2 men arrested are Charles Obilomo, 37, and Osita Onyeka, 35. It was gathered that four other members of the group which hijacked the DAF truck by intercepting the driver at a bad portion on the Mile-2 Oshodi Expressway on 28 December escaped with bullet wounds.
Muhammadu Mande, 42, the truck driver and Lawal Usman, 34, Mande’s Conductor, were reported to have been kept in another car with four other members of the gang at gunpoint and were being taken to an unknown destination before they were intercepted by the police.
Bala Elkana, Lagos Police spokesperson disclosed that the arrest was made possible by police operatives from the Itire Division led by the DPO, SP Barkfur Kromkyes upon a tip-off from a reliable source.
The Spokesperson said;
“The two suspects in police custody, Charles Obllomo, and Osita Onyeka took possession of the truck. The driver and his conductor were sandwiched by the four men in military uniforms in the Toyota Corolla. The truck was driving behind the Toyota Corolla and heading to an unknown destination before it was intercepted by the Police.
“The driver said, he initially thought the hijackers were military men on stop and search duty until they started beating him and his conductor and threatened to kill them if they refuse to follow their orders. The two suspects were arrested in the truck and taken to the station. The four suspects in military uniforms escaped with bullet wounds after a fierce battle with the police. The truck and the Toyota Corolla were recovered and transferred to the police station.
“Two pairs of vehicle plate numbers and military caps were recovered in the Corolla. The truck containing the PMS was handed over to its owner, Sani Samaila."

Man Jumps Into Lagoon From Third Mainland Bridge Lagos

February 16, 2020A man, 22, jumped into the lagoon from the third mainland bridge yesterday. The man identified as Daibo Toju Davies resides at 17, Sosanya street, Gbagada.
A report said that he had engaged the services of an Uber taxi from a hospital before the occurrence. He allegedly stopped the Uber on the bridge pretending to be having a running stomach before plunging into the lagoon.
Lagos State Emergency Management Agency public affairs officer, Nosa Okunbor said they are making efforts to rescue the man.
He said;
“He should be in his mid-twenties. He ordered a car-hailing service from Gbagada to the Island. He deceived the UBER driver that he had a running stomach after which he jumped into the lagoon.
“As I speak with you, the marine unit of the Lagos central zone has been searching for the victim since 11:30 am, but we have not found the body.”
Two luggage with his personal effects and affidavit were discovered on him.

Policemen Arrest Colleagues For Obtaining Bribe In Lagos (VIDEO)

February 7, 2020A video has surfaced online showing some policemen arrested by their colleagues for obtaining bribe.
Also, the officers are attached to the Nigeria Police Special Squad ‘Operation Puff Adder’. So, they stormed the spot in patrol their patrol van and arrested the officers collecting bribe at the Ijesha area of Lagos State.
